Team Picnic PostNL coach Davide Gani: “What makes Milano–Sanremo such a beautiful race is its unpredictability. It can end in a sprint, but a late attack can just as easily make the difference. As always, the Cipressa and the Poggio will be the key moments of the race, although there may be other points along the way where the race can open up. We will be at the start with a competitive team that is prepared for different scenarios. After last year’s first edition, where everything was still new, we expect that riders and teams now have a better understanding of how to approach the race. That extra knowledge will likely make the race even more interesting and dynamic.”
