Team Picnic PostNL coach Pim Ligthart: “Nokere Koerse traditionally delivers a fierce battle between attackers and sprinters on the cobbles and twisting roads around Nokere. It’s a race where positioning and teamwork are crucial throughout the day, as the peloton can split at various points and the outcome often remains unpredictable until the final kilometres. We line up with a group ready to race attentively and work well together towards the finale. With Frits, we have a rider who feels comfortable on this type of terrain, something he has already shown earlier this spring in races like Kuurne–Brussel–Kuurne and Le Samyn. Our goal will be to support him as best as possible throughout the race and bring him into the final in a strong position, so he can fight for a good result. If the race does come back together and ends in a bunch sprint, we also have fast options in Casper and Fabio to play our cards in the finale.”
