Team Picnic PostNL coach Melvin Rulliere: “We head into Malaysia with ambition, with different opportunities throughout the eight stages. Four stages are expected to suit the sprinters, while there is also a stage for the breakaway riders and three stages where the general classification will be decided. We have strong cards to play in each scenario. When the road goes uphill, Mattia should be our strongest representative, with Juan and Matthew there to support him. In the sprints, we want to test Roy’s qualities as a finisher, with Dillon and Christiaan alongside him. On top of the racing itself, we will also have to adapt to the time difference, high humidity and heat. The goal is to make the most of our opportunities throughout the week and be competitive across the different stages.”
