Team Picnic PostNL coach Pim Ligthart: “The ZLM Tour starts with a long time trial, where the first important differences for the general classification will be made. In the following stages, the wind is expected to play a major role, so it will be important to stay alert and make sure we are on the right side when the echelons start to form. With riders like Frits, Sean and Nils, we have strong options to be present in those situations, while we are also looking forward to seeing what our stagiaire Roy can bring to the team. With the wind potentially having a big influence on the race, the general classification can go in different directions, but Frits will in principle be our finisher. The goal is to stay attentive throughout the race, use our strength as a team and make the most of the opportunities that arise.”
