The Men’s Program lined up for the second edition of the Classique Dunkerque, tackling 202 kilometres from Dunkirk to Mont-Saint-Éloi. The race featured a slightly uphill drag to the finish, offering the possibility of a more selective finale. Early in the race, three riders formed the day’s breakaway and quickly established a sizeable advantage, which grew to around seven minutes at its maximum. The peloton gradually reduced the gap throughout the afternoon as the race headed towards the finishing circuit.
With 11 kilometres remaining, Artem Shmidt bridged across to the final remaining breakaway rider before dropping him shortly afterwards. Shmidt quickly built an advantage of around 45 seconds and managed to hold off the peloton all the way to the uphill finish in Mont-Saint-Éloi to take the victory. Behind, the reduced peloton sprinted for the remaining places. Pavel Bittner was unfortunately involved in a crash in the final few hundred metres, while Niklas Märkl led the team across the line.
