Team Picnic PostNL took on the inaugural men’s edition of the Copenhagen Sprint today, covering a challenging 235-kilometer course starting in Roskilde and finishing with five laps on a fast, technical circuit in the heart of Copenhagen. The race combined long rural sections with a demanding city finale that tested endurance, positioning, and sprinting skills.
Throughout the race, our team worked cohesively to support our sprinter, Tobias Lund Andresen. Enzo Leijnse, Niklas Märkl and Bjorn Koerdt took responsibility at the front of the peloton, helping to maintain a steady pace and control the race as it approached the closing laps. As the riders entered the final lap on the Copenhagen circuit, a big crash disrupted the peloton. Despite the chaos, the sprint finish remained fiercely competitive. Tobias Lund Andresen was unfortunately boxed in during the final moments but fought hard to secure a 5th place finish.
