Each month, we invite you to choose our Photo of the Month through a vote on our Instagram channel. For June, we once again had three powerful images to choose from, each telling its own emotional and memorable story.
On the left, a moment of pure triumph: Mara Roldan crossing the line solo in Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain, arms aloft, eyes wide with disbelief. After a brilliant ride off the front, Mara took her first professional victory, a milestone moment in any rider’s career. You can see the joy and emotion radiating from her face: raw, real, and unforgettable.
In the centre, a deeply emotional scene between two teammates and close friends. Romain Bardet and Chris Hamilton, side by side, arm in arm, as they cross the finish line on the final day of the Critérium du Dauphiné. It was Romain’s last ever road race, ending a remarkable career in front of his home crowd in France. To finish the stage shoulder to shoulder with a trusted teammate and friend made it all the more special.
On the right, a high-speed battle in the Swiss mountains. Oscar Onley launching his sprint in Stage 5 of the Tour de Suisse, side by side with João Almeida. A photo full of energy, power, and focus. Onley would take the win that day in stunning fashion. With the fans in the background and the intensity in the faces both riders, it could easily be the cover of Pro Cycling Manager 25. Pure racing.
