Trying her hand at gymnastics and judo when she was young, Dilyxine then took up cycling after seeing her dad and brother go out for rides and combined that with her first love of show jumping.
Balancing days at the stables with club cycling on the side. Eventually, her parents made her choose between them as “two expensive sports at the same time,” wasn’t the best. After a fall with her horse, she decided she preferred a sport she could fully control herself. “Maybe that’s why I chose the bike,” she smiles. “Sometimes you still can’t control everything… but almost.”
From there she didn’t look back and cycling quickly became her main outlet for her competitive instincts. “I like winning. I’m a bad loser,” she admits with a grin. “I’m really competitive — with others, and with myself. I want to be better, better, better.”
Her progression through the French club and national division system gave her a solid foundation, though it was the thrill of racing that truly hooked her. “I don’t really like training,” she says honestly. “I prefer competition. I like the feeling of pushing, of fighting… that’s what keeps me motivated.”
As a rider, Dilyxine sees herself in the hilly, punchy terrain. “I prefer when the road goes up,” she says. “I’m not a pure climber, but I love races like Flèche Wallonne, the properly punchy ones.” She dreams of developing further into that profile with the support and resources around her at Team Picnic PostNL.
Away from the watts and race days, Dilyxine is known for bringing good energy to the bus and the group. She describes herself as “fun, cool, and kind,” and says that those qualities help her create a good vibe within the team. “I like good music, good energy,” she says — with her love for French techno often setting the soundtrack.
She’s also a true coffee enthusiast, proudly equipped with her new espresso machine at home. “I love coffee… like every cyclist!” she beams.
Looking to the next years, her goals are simple: “I want to win. And I want to progress — to be the best version of myself, and to contribute to the team’s results.”
Driven, competitive, and quietly confident, Dilyxine steps into her next chapter ready to climb, grow, and bring her unmistakably bright energy to the women’s program.
