Joining the team in 2020, Enzo and has steadily made his way through the ranks of the Development program, gaining experience and establishing himself as a strong rouleur and barodeur.
A team player, Enzo often finds himself giving his all in aid of the team’s goals, something that he finds rewarding. Yet as a “very competitive person”, going into the 2023 season he aimed to “show himself in the finales of races and be an option for the team to go for the win” – and he did just that. Taking his first UCI level win after a strong and masterful display in the breakaway at Olympia’s Tour, before he stormed to the U23 Dutch title in the time trial.
“The win in Olympia’s Tour was a special moment. It was of course nice to take the win itself, but it was also a bit of a reminder for me that it is possible, and it gave me some confidence.”
As the oldest and most experienced rider in the Development program, Enzo naturally had to step into more of a leadership role something which he thinks has helped him “grow as a rider and as a person,” becoming more confident in sharing his opinions on how things went – both in the good and bad moments.
