14th August – Stage 3: Kerteminde – Kerteminde
Stage 3 of the Tour of Denmark brought a short but testing individual time trial around the coastal town of Kerteminde. The flat, technical 14.3 km course demanded both power and precision, with riders balancing speed on the straights and control through some technical corners. For Team Picnic PostNL, the day was about executing a smooth and safe ride, while still pushing for strong performances. Enzo Leijnse set the benchmark for the team with an impressive effort that placed him provisionally 3rd when he crossed the line – a position that held up well against a competitive field and ultimately saw him finish 16th. Alex Edmondson also put in a determined ride, narrowly missing Leijnse’s time at the finish. Nils Eekhoff, our final rider on course, battled through the TT to finish just outside the top 20, confirming Leijnse as our fastest man on the day.
Reflecting on the stage, Leijnse said: “It was a fast, rolling course today. Everyone gave their best, and with tomorrow’s queen stage ahead, we’re all motivated to get stuck in again.”
