Team dsm-firmenich PostNL are thrilled to reveal that talented Dutch youngster Silje Bader will join their Women’s program, with immediate effect as of today, Tuesday 16th July. Making her debut at the upcoming Belgium Tour, Bader will wear the team’s distinctive two-striped jersey until the end of at least the 2026 season.
Originally a mountain-bike rider who had success in the youth categories, Covid-19 saw a decrease in the amount of mountain bike races that were organised, so Bader began to dabble in road racing too. Much to her surprise, she won the Dutch national title in 2021 for novice riders and from there began focusing more on road racing in the junior ranks. Two solid years of racing against the very best in her age-group saw Bader pick-up some impressive results, and a particularly strong start to the 2023 campaign resulted in wins at Omloop van Noordwest Overijssel and a stage at the Omloop Borsele Juniors, amongst strong showings at Trofeo Binda Juniors and Gent-Wevelgem Juniors.
Bader made the big jump out of the junior ranks in 2024, joining GT Krush RebelLease for the opening part of the year, where she secured a very impressive fourth place in the sprint against some top opposition at Drentse Acht van Westerveld. She has continued to further develop under GT Krush RebelLease’s tutelage and guidance with help from Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, before now making the step over to the team.
