In an exciting venture aimed at improving the safety and efficiency of the team’s training sessions, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL has joined forces with Yamaha Motor Europe and their Benelux branch.
The partnership was born out of a collective goal to improve safety standards during group training sessions on the bike. Recognising the risks involved in cycling on public roads, both Team dsm-firmenich PostNL and Yamaha Motor Europe’s Benelux branch sought a solution to enhance the safety of the riders, so the riders themselves can focus more on training.
The team will introduce the Yamaha Tricity 300 – a game-changer in the realm of motor-scooters. This sleek and agile vehicle will be strategically integrated into team training sessions, facilitating a safer and more focused environment for both riders and support staff. Equipped with amber lights and a wheel rack, the Yamaha Tricity 300 allows designated licensed scooter drivers to lead and follow the cycling group, effectively creating a protective buffer zone and mitigating potential traffic hazards, while also offering spare wheels at the same time.
Team dsm-firmenich PostNL’s Head of Operations Marloes Poelman said: “We are really excited to partner up with Yamaha Motor Europe’s Benelux branch, a leading company that has built an excellent reputation for its innovation, reliability, and high-quality products. Our partnership is driven by a mutual commitment to safety. As a team, we strive to lead the way and continuously keep challenging ourselves to make our training sessions as safe as possible. The use of the Tricity 300 scooters is the next step in this.”
Yamaha Motor Europe’s Benelux branch Country Manager Mario Janssen said: “Team dsm- firmenich PostNL is renowned for being a frontrunner in the sport when it comes to crucial topics like safety. We are proud to collaborate with Team dsm-firmenich PostNL in this endeavour. The Yamaha Tricity 300 is the perfect tool to meet this challenge head-on, providing an ideal solution for enhancing safety.”
